Taste profile | Intense and fruity, Blackcurrant, Fresh spices |
Tasting notes | Colour: Brilliant, ruby-red with delicate purple highlights. Nose: Very fresh and complex, with extremely intense fruity notes of blueberry, cranberry and blackcurrant, combined with spicy hints of bay leaf, aniseed, tobacco and leather, interlaced with smooth notes of cedar and caramel imparted by barrel ageing. Palate: Starts out very elegant and sophisticated on the palate, with fresh and fruity notes. Fine-grained yet firm tannins provide good tension mid-palate. This is a complex, fairly rich and full-bodied wine. The red fruit and spicy notes return on the long finish, accompanied by good acidity. |
